Discovering the EDF nuclear power plant in Paluel
As part of its 20th anniversary, the AXS INGENIERIE team went to the EDF nuclear power plant in Paluel to visit the installations.
The Paluel power plant was commissioned between 1984 and 1986. Four 1300 MWe reactors is exploiting today. + 2000 workers, from EDF and suppliers, come every day on plant.
First, we attended a conference to present the creation of the plant, its activity & its functioning.
Afterwards, the guided tour of the facilities took place in the engine room of unit 2 of the nuclear power plant. After donning the protective equipment, our team discovered the size of the buildings. We were particularly interested in the high-capacity overhead cranes with capacities ranging from 5 to 250 tonnes.
Since 2017, AXS INGENIERIE has established itself in the nuclear industry and wishes to continue strengthening the knowledge of our team.
